Who owns and uses pack LLamas

They are not picky at all, they will eat anything growing, and they get most of their water from the grazing they do. Unless it was extra hot, they usually refused their daily water.

Who owns and uses pack LLamas

You heard right about the pooping! I don't know about just one though, they seem more comfortable with a least one other llama in sight.

Who owns and uses pack LLamas

I have been using llamas for the past 6 seasons. I rent them out of Livermore CO. We rent 3, along with the stock trailer, panniers, and other nesseities. Sitka jackets

I go Sitka merino as base Traverse over that then 90% as a finish. I carry the Kelvin for a little extra warmth when glassing or just napping. This is CO in late September.

What water purification/filtration are you using for mountain hunting?

I go with the Katadyn Base camp, and a Sawyer squeeze.

What is your mountain hunting boot of choice?

I like the Kenetrek Hardscrabble Lites. I tried the Asolo's, can't rember which one, and they didn't have the support that I feel I get from the Kenetreks. They also leaked almost as soon as it rained. I go with the Lathrop and Sons insole as well.

The only item I am looking at for next season is a Kifaru 8 man tipi and stove. It would be nice to have a warm dry place to wait out the heavy rains and dry the gear.
