Anyone heard any rumors about a trigger upgrade or maybe a spring kit for the Sig Cross?
I friggin love this gun! Bought it for my daughter/kids. Even with the horrible trigger I can still get an inch out of it with a 1-6x scope and factory ammo.
But it's tough going back and forth between my...
I really want to be an optics snob. But with the current economy it's tough!
I bought my daughter an Sig Cross in Creed last fall. I slapped my Loopy 6 1-6 on it for her. The lower magnification made it new hunter proof as far as finding the deer in the scope. Also the size is very compact.
I...
So I decided to be one of the cool kids and try a bushing die for the first time. I've been using standard dies for a long time. But now I know the S stands for [emoji90] like I expected.
I've watched every YouTube movie and even found the owners manual online. I've since trashed about six...
Well I impulse bought a Griffin Recce 5 suppressor.
My old Daniel Defense 16" barrel is smoked. But Daniel said they'll replace the barrel for me. So I'm planning on asking for a shorter barrel then using my SBR lower.
I don't really need a "CQB" gun as I've got two SBRs. I don't really want a...
Bought these and haven't used them. Tried using the resizing die and just got frustrated AF! Then listed to the Hornady podcasts and found the stuff doesn't even matter anyways[emoji2371][emoji2359] Buying a set of basic window licker friendly dies.
Sizer comes with a .288 bushing
$275 tyd
I built my first rifle a few years ago on a Bighorn. But now I know a little more about the different options for actions.
I like the Bighorn but hate the higher bolt throw. Also the bolt release is a pain. Small little quirks. But now I know I could have spent maybe $100 more for a an action...
I built a 6.5 PRC a few years ago for a prairie rifle. It's been an incredible caliber for what I needed. But coming from a 308 anything is better[emoji16][emoji23]
Used a Bighorn Origin, Carbon 6 barrel, trigger tech diamond, Greyboe bottom metal and a AGC stock. Mark 5 5-25 and an Ultra 7...
I was browsing YouTube and discovered Lapua has small rifle primer brass.
I have about 2000k Federal match small rifle primers. And locally the small rifle primers seem to actually be available.
But how do you do load development? Seems the load data I've seen is just for large rifle primers...
I have a 6.5 PRC, it's freaking awesome for deer. But I have a short action M70 action and I was looking at a 7 SAW. I think I'd go that route before 7-08. Especially since you can use small rifle primers. West TX also has ready to load brass. Basically seems like a better take on the 7-08.
I bought my kid an Sig Cross and the Hornady Precision Hunter did great. Her and the wife shot four deer total with it. The one doe went on a big death run spraying buckets of blood. But I've had the same thing happen with a 270 Wby[emoji2371]
Montana sucks for mule deer.... It's only slightly better than OR or WA because those clowns sure love coming to the Hi-Line and wacking every forken horn they see[emoji2371]
Though my buddy did shoot a 180 this year after a lifetime of trying.
What's worst, bad calling or spiking out in critical elk areas like bedding and transition routes? Ha I called in some non residents who couldn't call and couldn't select a good camp spot. Why elk hunting in Montana is about ruined.
When I decided to figure out elk as a Montana resident it took me several unsuccessful years to finally tag a bull.
