    Preparing for H

I would recommend getting two Llamas for what you are trying to do. You could get more and have a nicer camp, but then you have to deal with more llamas :). Two should be enough that your father and son will not need to carry much and you could stay for the 6-8 days. The opener could...

Dry Ice Precaution/Is it worth it?

You need block ice or frozen gallon jugs and then a piece of dry ice on top 5-10 lbs won't create a bomb.

    Sold Vortex Vulture HD 15x56

Excellent shape. I just bought these from a fellow Rokslider and tried them out once. He said they were 3 years old and in like new condition, which I 100% agree with and he paid $680-$690 retail. I thought I wanted 15Xs to replace my 10X and Spotter, but after trying them out I really think I...

Sold Kifaru 44 Mag with 24" Duplex Lite Frame

Sorry, but not splitting that out right now unless there is interest for the 44 Mag straight up. If someone takes the 44 mag, I will send the pocket on to you!

Sold Kifaru 44 Mag with 24" Duplex Lite Frame

I have a Kifaru 44 Mag with 24" Duplex Lite Frame and Long Shoulder strap length and Medium Belt in excellent condition. I wore it on one hunt for a week and it was awesome (packed one quarter in a garbage bag and cape in garbage bag so no blood at all), but is it just more of a pack then I...

    Shiras Moose Packout vs Elk

Depends on the moose! An average bull moose will be the size of a mature 6X6 elk with regards to quarters, but will have bigger backstraps and neck roast. I think they are pretty comparable unless you get a monster than you might need to add a few trips. Are you planning on packing one out...

    Maine Moose Hunting

That was true a few years back, but now that you get 10 more chances for every bonus point from 16 on, I think we are going to see those with 20 or more points more likely to draw than people spending a few hundred dollars. They really should have just squared points and not allowed anyone to...

    3rd season Colorado first timer

Be on your glassing point at first and last light. Hopefully that point will allow you to shoot 300 yards, but also to see deer farther that you need to stalk. Remember the sun comes up in the east and it can be a pain to glass into the sun...pick your spots accordingly and watch the weather...
