I just bought a couple from a guy on reddit ( ) haven't had a chance to shoot with them yet, but the quality is solid, and he gets a ton of great reviews.
I think most require that you be permanently disabled - SSI or SSDI. The opportunities may or may not really be all that great. Just depends on the state. If you are doing LTD, then I would guess SSI or SSDI is also in your future, and once you qualify, you can usually get discounted...
I went back and couldn't find the thread, but looking at it, that holds for shorter cans - S to K, but not really for L to S sized. I was likely drinking, so thanks for pointing it out. Anyway, I am psyched for my Hydrogen L, and should certify my S early next week. So, I can do a total bro...
Otter creek is the only other 6.5 bore that I have seen out there, though I am sure there are others. The ocl hydrogens score well with pew science, and with the other tests I have seen. They just did a batch of 6.5 cans, and Andrew said they don't make many of those per year, so unless you...
Not that you will find one in stock either, but if you want to maximize sound reduction with shorter cans, get a 6.5 bore. OCL owner mentioned in a reddit thread that a going to a 6.5 bore vs .30 gains about the same as a couple of inches, (edit - seems mostly for shorter cans) very roughly. I...
Check your state, and neighboring states, for a field to fork type class. Most FW departments run something like this for new hunters, and they can get you started. Some will bring in deer to dress in class and/or offer mentored hunts.
OCL Hydrogen s or DD Enticer sti are solid choices. I would sign up for in stock alerts for a few different ones in that tier and buy whichever comes into stock first. The sorta standard advice is to get a .30 cal for your first, but if you are never going to shoot .30 cal, or are OK with...
If there is one you want, you should backorder it asap. From what I have been hearing, any new stock that comes in is just filling the backorders. So, they will not show as in stock anytime soon. If you can't backorder, then setup a notification alert and be ready to jump pretty quickly...
I bought the same gun this spring. I ran into an issue with Holosun optic - the screws were too long and bound up the action. Had to order shorter screws, but works great now. Using an Indian creek choke and apex 9.5 tss.
Everything is sold out just about everywhere. Jump on a wait-list, and buy as soon as you get an in stock notification. You can also watch gun broker, but be prepared to probably pay extra.
Trust times are also going down, though not nearly what individual times are yet. The word from Silencer Shop is that generic trusts with just one RP will also be much faster in the very near future.
Understand the frustration for sure. I was at 7 months when I started calling. And I was delayed as well. Started the process for a UPIN, as that seems the only way to avoid getting delayed all the time.
The FBI will just tell you to call the ATF for status checks. The ATF will respond to emails saying to call. I did eventually get a response from [email protected] that said all my background checks cleared, but it took a month. Coincidentally, I started getting my form 4s approved the next...
I have been using this some since last fall, only with iphone. It can be a little bit buggy, and my phone gets pretty hot if I use if for extended periods of time - like hot enough to stop charging. But, it is super cool to see up on the 8" screen in my frontier.
