It's great to hear stories of success, Keep at Daniel. I'm the verge of giving up! Im 6'3" 309 lbs and I cna't seem to lose any weight. I have been lifting and running 5-6 days a week since January. Since april I have been riding my Mountain bike to work 1.5 miles 5 days a week to work wlaking...
well I bought some compression sleeves for my calves. Not only is my calf pain gone but a bonus side effect is my ankle pain is also gone. I think it may be because my blood doesnt pool in feet and swell. Not sure if thats whats really going on but i will take it either way.
I like my Horn Hunter bino case with a Magnetic sleeve for my range finder that quietly sticks right to the side of my bino case to its always there. They changed it a little this year and also put a hook on the case for the range finder and best part it's made in the U.S.A
I shattered my fibula and tore every ligment and tendon in my ankle. 9 screws and steel plate to put humpty back together again. they took one screw out but 8 and the plate will forever remain. I dont need a barometer on my watch I have one in my leg. I still have the screw they pinned my ankle...
I have one and I bvelieve it is the only filter you need and honestly it doesnt weigh much more then iodine tablets and its a lot faster. Sawyer has a video on their website www.sawyer.com I even noticed my local sportsmans warehouse is now has them, at least when they are not sold out the them.
Has any used the compression clothing for running. My calves get really sore and cramped up after a work out and in the morning when i get out of bed. I was curious if training with calf compression would help with that.

Has anyone had their hands on the new Badlands line of clothing, I have only seen it in their catalogs but it looks to be some good stuff. I think their pack warranty is going to carry over to their clothing which would be awesome!
I carry a motorola droid X in an otterbox has a stand alone GPS with many GPS and mapping APPS available, along with a built in alarm clock and mp3 player. I also carry a brunton restore solar charger so I always have power. Oh and i forgot to mention it also has Angry Birds when the hunting is...
I use a sawyer squeeze filter its about half the size of a 20 ounce soda bottle and extermely light, It uses hollow tube membranes to filter the water and it doest take expensive cartridges. I had a friend from out of state with me on my elk hunt this last september introduce me to that filter...
ASAT makes a packable rain gear similar to the cabelas stuff. Its around $100 for the set< I like mine but since I live in southeast Idaho which is a desert compared to Northern Idaho, I havent used it a lot and yet to tear it.
I have a pair of the ASAT essiential pants and I like them, They are an all polyester pant so they beat the cotton pants hands down, the only downside is that are not a brushed finish, so they have a tendency to attract burrs and stickers, other than that I think they are great value.
I use a two piece packable rain gear made by ASAT camo its a lot like the cabelas rain gear only its $100 for the set. It is a little noisey until it gets wet but its great gear for the money.
I have a pair of the UA ridge reaper and hate them. They are a size 13 and fit more like a size 12. After 3 days of my toes getting smashed into the toe box and going numb on my elk hunt I swaped them in favor of my old Danners. I have since bought a pair of Cabela's Alaskan hikers by Meindl...
