I was a Glock 19 and 17 fan until trying the sig P365xl. Same capacity and barrel length of Glock in a slim package that’s easier to carry. Not a western hunter so this in 9mm is my choice.
While field dressing my mediocre buck on Friday after 8 days straight sitting a nice buck walked yards away just feet from my stand. Still glad to be done and have meat in the cooler. Nice sleeping in this weekend. Note to future self to be patient when a hot doe comes through.
I’m in my 50s and have lived with guns most of my life. That said it’s way down the list of conversation topics even with my buddies. Kids, sports, hunting, fishing mostly. Notice I left out work.
Probably 32”, but have shot29” and 35” equally well. Also a Midwest deer hunter, currently shoot a Ritual 35, but my favorite tree and blind bow was a Mathews Helim which was 29” ata. That crazy bow shot so well and carried light.
We had archery throughout school from elementary to HS. Even shot BB guns in elementary. Don’t think my kids had the same but they had me teaching them from an early stage,
Did it once also for a week. Realized commuting 2+ hrs daily wasnt for me. Been at my job 23 years. Also see it a lot but usually longer periods. No downside if I can bring back trained employees vs new hires needing lots of training.
I’m rural and enjoy having KC less than 1 hr away. Heck tonight we’re driving in and taking family to SKC game. Best of both worlds. Don’t live in the mess but enjoy the occasional visit. Cities have their purpose.
As long as there were attractive women there, nothing else really mattered. My bar philosophy in the wonderful 90s. Looks like kids having a great time.
