I picked these up to try this next season to replace my original lapponias, but I’d like to give the new lapponia IIIs a shot. They’ve been sitting in my gear closet unused waiting for scouting season. These are on sale right now so I’m marking these down to beat the prices I’m seeing on google...
I’ve had this in the closet for a while, not sure the model, it was a present from the wife and just never quite fit me right. I’m normally an XL and this is much more of a Large fit.

S&S just released a great video as well on how to put it on various bino types which is great. There’s a much easier way to get the strap back into the tensioning rod than the way I did it [emoji23]

Got the tricer out next to the wiser today with warrant . Very little difference btwn the two being honest. The tricer is equally as smooth and nearly identical in ability to lock and hold heavy optics. We were able to switch around btwn an STM 65, STX 65, BTX 95, EL 10x42, sig Zulu 6 16x42, and...
Just got my sparrow in the mail today, love that it mounts in the center of the binos, this always bugged me about my aziak.
For those with a dual bridge bino like the swaro EL, you’ll have to unthread the strap to get it around, which the directions clearly say NOT to do, and I know why now...
Ya you can index the screw to make sure the lock has enough play to loosen and tighten. I think the instructions for the head mention that but can’t remember where I saw that. But ya I was sort of annoyed by that too

Yep, I think that’s how a lot of people run their tripods, head screwed to the tripod directly through the 3/8 screw. The arca plate is included to connect to your optic.
Interesting, my scout was like 8oz, the wiser spot on at 6oz with the handle.

Interesting, completely different experience with the tilt on the wiser. I have a ton of adjustability in the tension.
Mine came with a 3/8 screw not a 1/4, but it sounds like you’re trying to screw an arca plate to the bottom of the head to put it into an arca clamp underneath between the...
Glad to help share my experience. If the wiser isn’t for you I’d recommend trying the Tricer or PT scout. Seems like a lot of other guys in here have very good things to say about the PT Scout and have obviously a lot more experience with it than me.
As for the Tricer my buddy ShakeDown played...
Saw that head, looks awesome and CRAZY light. I think he said sub 4oz with the handle. Will be out this summer sounds like.
