When I first started out in engineering I had to do a lot of work in metric. I prefer designing in metric, but I still think in inches. After a while it became easy to convert from one to the other on the fly. Moa and mils will both get you the same result, just different units. Pick whatever...
I’m the complete opposite. Can’t sleep at home. In the woods I’m out instantly and sleep like a baby. Melatonin works (sometimes) but I’m super groggy the next day.
It honestly might be performance anxiety/stress related. That’s what I think mine is related to at home w/ work. Do you have the...
I have benelli montefeltros in both 12 & 20 gauge for upland hunting in NV. Zero issues with both in 5 years of hunting and clays. Had a franchi affinity before. Affinity is more front heavy since recoil system is in the fore end which I think is better for waterfowl & clays. Benelli recoil...
Too unsteady for me. Most people like 10's. I prefer 8s. FOV and steadiness are more important to me. I guess the main argument for people to go to a higher power in NL's is you get the higher magnification with the FOV of the next size down. 12x NL's are gonna be just as shaky as any other 12x...
That guy in the Akula picture looks cold and I can’t even see his face!
Rab makes a nice bivy. I have the ridge raider. It’s slightly heavier then a standard bivy but the space for your face is nice. For me it’s the perfect fit inbetween tarp and solo tent.

When using the machine continuously the seal bar can heat up and cause the bags to seal prematurely before reaching vacuum. Other issues are liquid in the seal area. Sometimes the bags are just crap.
What brand were you using?
Sounds like you're getting a bad seal or there are pinhole leaks. What brand bags and machine are you using? Also if blood or any moisture gets in the seal area this can cause a bad seal which will leak. Usually leaving the bags out on the counter for 20-30 mins after sealing will show any leaks...
I'm the engineering manager at the company that manufactures the FoodSaver product. Our quality lab has just about every single FoodSaver machine ever made. I highly recommend the FM2000. I've tried the fancier ones but this thing has been bulletproof for me and our QA lab has run countless bags...
