The 22 creedmoor thread
Took the tikka to the range this past weekend and got the first 35 rounds down the tube. Using Fed 210, Hornady new brass, H4350, and 80 grain ELDX. I did 15 at 35g, 5@ 35.5, 5@36, [email protected], and 5@37. Mainly wanted to see where I hit pressure and it happened at 36.5. 37 had good ejector marks and... -
Glass quality of the more reliable scopes
If you want reliability and premier glass, for a hunting scope, look at the Schmidt Bender Klassic 3-12x42 with turret. World class optics, enough travel to get most cartridges out to around 700 yards. Form recommended this scope to me for my 22 creed project. Mine is on backorder right now. -

6.5 creed - thinking about 130 TMKs....or maybe 123 scenars
For years have shot 139 scenars in the 6.5s. Killed lots of critters as has friends and family with that bullet. We shoot that at around 2800 FPS in tikka rifles. I recently chopped about 3" off the barrel of my sons superlite and threaded it just about the flutes for a suppressor so barrel... -

I don't' have experience with one so they could be junk for all i know, but if I was looking at a 3-4k scope, a S&B PM II 5-25X would probably be near the top of the list.... -
The best all around 243 bullet
The 95 grain nosler ballistic tip is one of the top .243 bullets out there...Have shot them in my daughters 6 creed and my wifes 243...They kill well! -
Velocity results with supressor on a 22 creedmoor
I’m hoping to be about 3200-3250 with the 80 grain ELDx at the 19” barrel I ended up on….anything over that is a plus…. -

Yes, I should have been more clear - that was for all work involved. But once again, the work quality is 100% top notch and why I will continue using Kampfelds and referring others as well! -

I wanted to keep the speed with the shorter barrel and also just makes me feel better to have a bit tougher bullet...If there was an 80-85 grain scenar, I would shoot that first. I have already talked myself into using this rifle for deer, bear, and antelope if I draw and now I am working on... -

Karl charged me $380 and turnaround was about 3-4 weeks. He does really amazing work. Highly recommend him.
