That is tough to hear. I have eaten a quite a few Canadian and NWT moose and the only tough one was when I cooked a tenderloin the same day we killed it. Other than that it is a household favorite.
I primarily hunt moose for myself as a meat hunt we like it so much.
By that time most outfitters are focused on caribou and moose. Some hunts would be available but ususually snow will be pushing sheep around or down a bit . Fixed wing extraction is risky with chance of snow. not so if you are with a heli outfit.
On the way out the horns antler have to be checked in the wells at fish and game. Usually the hunter accompanies them but not required.
If Yellowknife is out for the hunter to enter or they will go via Whitehorse.
I just checked in to my flight Saturday from Edmonton to Whitehorse and no...
The guy has one of the best YouTube fishing entertainment channels called blacktip H. My son got me on it. He has some of the coolest drone footage and entertaining Goliath grouper fishing videos. He has captured so pretty neat stuff and this is one of them.

I have a lightweight hoody I like for hot weather but it has air mesh which just says bite me to mosquitoes
Looking for a warm weather mosquito proof long sleeve hoodie. We have had a wet summer and the mosquitoes are thick and I hate wearing spray when I go on training hikes.
Also scouting for elk would be nice but it will be hot and bug invested…. And I lost a pint of blood last time. Haha...
What he said. They have lots of different food options and the 6.5 will do the trick for sheep bou.
Just focus on getting in shape to enjoy as much of the country as you can. You can go as far as your boots take you every day and it’s a long way to see around the next corner. 😁
Been thinking a set of tracks too but what is holding me back is the time I use them. Fall moose. It is alway just below freezing and still lots of mud around. Given you aren’t able to parked it anywhere heated for the night what are the tracks going to be like in the morning?
