I know a few of you have this tripod so I was hoping you could help. I bought this used and it seems one of the legs won't lock. I'm assuming it's one of the compression sleeves/rings inside that has broken. I don't have it in my hands...

I current have the Nikon with 20-60x zoom and looking at the swapping for the Vortex HD because I can almost do a straight swap. Is the HD glass and the Vortex warranty worth it? I livein Canada and Nikon does not...
