I have a nallo 3, basically the same as the anjan. I'm looking to move towards a free standing tent this year for alpine hunting. Not a huge fan of the single entrance and the non free standing design in the alpine rocks.
For what it's worth, Hilleberg is coming out with a rogen 3 in 2024...
My wife and I struggled back and forth whether or not we wanted kids. In our heart of hearts I knew we did, but it's scary and hard! A kid free life has a lot of flexibility and room for adventure.
I knew I was ready when I started to feel an empty feeling in my soul. No matter what I tried to...
FYI, this has been extended to include all Victor foods.

How strong are the magnets? I hunt a lot out of a boat and am always bending over the gunwales getting in and out of tenders etc. My current stone glacier pack has the bungees and Ive felt the binos slide and hit the lid when bending over. The bungees obviously are able to hold the lid closed...
Depends on what you got....
Some are already seam sealed or taped.
If you need to seam seal, I found it easiest to use a commercially available sealer such as gear aid. but you can also mix silicone and mineral spirits, or I've read about permatex silicone windshield repair silicone being used
Also interested in this. We have a 5 month old. Tried the infant ear muffs on the head band. He was not a fan.....I can't imagine there are to many other alternatives though.
All good advise so far. You didn't mention if you were solo or not. I always hunt with a reliable partner that knows what the hell they're doing. Having a second set of eyes while your field dressing is a good idea.
With that said, I hunt in an area with some of the highest brown bear densities...
I shoot 168s in 30-06 with good results. I have not tried 150s. You have to keep the speed up on the those monos to get good expansion. Limits you to about 300 in yards.
I haven't tried it yet, but I've been told to put silicone dots on your pad. When they dry, they're "sticky" rubber that grips your bag and stops you from sliding all over.
Sounds good in theory. And maybe worth a shot with your current set up.
