My beef is mostly an aesthetic issue. It takes moisture to break down the clay pigeons and in Montana it takes forever. So once you start shooting clays it becomes the new unofficial shooting range. Which often includes redneck targets and garbage. It just makes a mess on public land.

Please don't use FS land for littering 1,000 call pigeons.
Just use a dedicated place on your place. Heck you could even fence it off if you are worried about your livestock. And then when it gets to be too much of a mess you can use a small tractor and a blade and clean it up.
If a state has a point system don't bother wasting your money.
For example there is a unit in Montana that had just over a MILLION applications (after squaring points) in 2023. You would start with one in your first year. And you will never catch up.
I have always felt that a ewe would be the perfect beginner hunt. Put him/her in for a ewe tag.
Just make sure you are making the call on young ram vs ewe before they shoot.
I have a 2010 with 175k. It's been a great vehicle. And it is pretty simple to work on yourself. Just did sway bar bushing, sway bar link, rotors, pads, and struts. If I was more organized I bet it would have been a 3 hour project....took me 5 hours.
In my opinion there is nothing but positives with doing a homerun. When I re-plumbed my brand new house there were a couple of concessions made where I just couldn't get another run there without a lot of effort. So I think I have 3 fittings in the house.
Google would know more than me if...
Pex fittings made by zurn. Professional plumber installed the plastic fittings. And plastic was what zurn replaced the brass with after their class action lawsuit. After my issue I started to call around and a LOT of plumbing companies have been paid off by zurn to not speak I'll have the...
Take @ Taperpin advice and build a home run system off a manifold. Pex is great but pex fittings are worthless and should never be installed behind walls....ever. Don't ask me how I know.
Short of building a model you will never know what the draw odds are in Nevada. The information they publish on the NDOW website provides ideas and some insight but is is NOT your draw odds. But it can be used to find less popular areas which should be easier to draw.
Can't give away a "hot spot" on the internet. I would just pick a state and start looking at cabin reviews. And lookout towers are a pretty unique experience!
