    RIP XV Rabbit Hole

I’m in the same boat trying to come up with a 250 spine arrow in the 460 grain range with an FOC higher than 10%. Looks like the RIP TKO is the best option. I really like the ethics sleeves, so I might run the TKO 250 with the 50 grain HIT and 40 grain sleeve. I currently run a simple Easton...

    Bow Maintenance

I would agree that 300 arrows or so is enough to fully settle your strings. You can take your bow back in to get the shop to re-time the cams and get it tuned up. Shouldn’t take much. As far as waxing strings, I would NOT wax after every outing. String wax holds dirt, so an overwaxed string can...

Hoyt 2022, are you still happy with it?

Not a 2022, but I had a 2021 Ventum and got rid of it for a 2020 RX-4. Really prefer the hybrid cam over the dual for the ease of yoke tuning. The binary cam has its perks, but for micro-tuning nothing really beats a yoke-tunable bow.

Carter Wise Choice - tearing up D loop

I had the same problem with my wise choice. Their jaw doesn’t have a smooth enough edge design. I like Carter’s sear mechanism, but I prefer B3’s ergonomics and design. I’d sell the Carter and go with a B3 product like the omega, versa, or exit pro.

    Hoyt ventum 33 tuning- help!?

So, with your old strings, it seems to be fine. That’s not a shimming problem, that’s a string and cable problem. I’d recommend getting your old set back on and re setting it to 13/16 and see if it’s back to bullet holes. If it’s back to perfect with broadheads, then you can take a sharpie and...

    Start an in-home shop

The question to answer first is what level of tuning you’re trying to accomplish. I’ve gone so far down the rabbit hole that I could easily have spent $20,000 on equipment. If you’re on a budget, my opinion would be to buy (in no particular order): T handle hex wrench set T handle torx wrench...
