I have for sale a .300 RUM built by S&S Precision. Scuff and scratches from many years of hunting. Rifle was strictly used for hunting and the round count is fairly low. I’m asking $1,800

I think I've read most posts on this forum related to scope failures and have yet to read anything on exactly why scopes fail to hold zero. It seems like the discussion of scope failures would be much more productive if we could discuss specific parts or processes that are failing.
It seems...
I saw Aaron Davidson comment on the Rokstok Instagram post that the original magnus had a flat toe angle or whatever you call it and they moved away from it. Was that due to customer demand or what?
I ordered a Rokstok and a molinator bag to try out. I think I own every common rear bag out...
I was curious about the same thing.
I have chassis rifles with flat rear bag riders and really struggled with them in the field. I ended up 3d printing an angled bag rider to make adjustments easier.
I saw a poster in the game and fish office that said 15% of all car accidents in Wyo are wildlife related and nearly as many mule deer are killed by cars as hunters - 5 % annually. Wildlife crossings seem like a good place to start.
Is there any data out there on why our military selected chamberings like the .300 norma and 300 prc over rounds like the 6.5 creedmoor and the like? I’m genuinely interested in what factors lead them to select magnum .30 cals in these next generation sniper weapon systems.
Is it the max...
I’m jealous of the guys who prefer the UHDs.
Last week my wife and I were sitting on a glassing knob looking at a golden eagle. She was using 8.5x ELs and I was looking through my 10x SLCs. She was commenting on the critter the eagle was standing on top of and I absolutely could not see it. I...
I have a 9 pound 30 nosler that will damn near bring tears to your eyes with no muzzle device. With a 9” thunder beast I spot my own impacts.
With that said, I pretty much abandoned magnum .30 cals in favor of lighter recoiling cartridges.
We have a 2022 outback XT and it’s really nothing special in the snow in my opinion. I agree with the previous comment that they feel squirrelly in the snow. The traction control is pathetic compared to my 4runner which seems to drive itself out a bind 99% of the time. Hell the outback was stuck...
The point of the 7 PRC is that you can buy factory loaded ammo with 180 and 175 grain bullets that is going to shoot great for most rifles. Doesn’t hurt that it’s readily available in every gun shop in America.
If speed is important get a 28 nosler.
I have 5 boxes of the first lots of 7 prc...
