The simple way to get over this concern is to always have a backup bow ready to go back at your vehicle. It seems like if you have a backup already go nothing will happen. If you don't crap will happen. And it eliminates the fear all together...
I've used both the REI and the Helinox and due to the seat and leg angle the REI wins hands down.. Other than that they are about the same other than price and REI wins there as well..
As others have said to use a leather belt. Well to add to that you can put your belt on a limb of a tree and this the gives you a nice tight flat surface to sharpen your knives on..
Excellent point but also, llamas do not do well by themselves, thus I would never take one solo as they will go look for friends the first chance they get...
