    I'm interested in what others have experienced as well. I'm headed to Haines, AK in September for a backpack hunt. Carrying a 7mm Rem Mag with a 160 gr Accubond bullet. Shooting 1 inch high at 200. Hoping for a shot within a 150 yds but preparing for longer. DA

    I'm not sure what any benefit would be for a lower 48er to own property in AK unless one was retired or planning on spending every summer up there. Just a pipe dream. Better plan is to save your $$$ and make it a goal to become financially independent early so you could spend all your summers...
