Heater body suit is awesome when its really cold. I dress light so when its time to shoot theres no added alyers to get in the way. I bought it for the warmth but not having all those heavy bulky layers to deal with was an added bonus.

This came from a podiatrist. This is what he sent me and what i did and it went away and has never returned. I hope this will help some of yall.
First you need to get our support. People often times think they need something soft and accommodative when in reality you actually need something...
I used to think packs were only for wet/snow or muddy cold conditions but i started utilizing them whenever its low 30's or less even when bone dry. They will just flat out keep your feet warm. I bought the lineman steel tow felt pacs for work but plan on using them in the stand as well.

I have a blacks creek cure lumbar pack and really like it. However the cordura is really noisy in the treestand on a quiet day. Im looking for any info on someone who could help me. Id like to have a wool or fleece pack made similar to the cure pack that will attach with zippers to cure frame...
May i suggest if you are dead set on thanksgiving weekend focus on our public bowhunting only areas. There are several that offer great potential at a dandy buck.

58#@29" im shooting 2117 cut to 31" length. 160g broadheads. Comes in @ 550ish grains. Seems to be a legit setup. I tried efoc but i couldnt keep my arrows from taking a nose dive past 20 yrds.

Glad to hear of yall's success. Congrats! I can only hope for such an eventful filled trip. I'm heading out this week for Colorado for 10 days. We have been blessed to have had fairly consistent elk action the last few years and your story makes me even more excited for my upcoming trip!

So maybe I can point you to a good starting point. My recurve i shoot is 58#@29. I shoot a 31" arrow with a 175g point. I end up with close to a 500gr finished arrow. So I shoot most 400 spine arrows well. They will be a little over 400 spine at 31" if I were you here is a good starting point...
Yes. My comment didn't make as much sense as it did in my head once I went back and reread it. LOL!!!! I get more consistent flight out of my aluminum than I did my carbons at the same grains due to having to increase foc on the carbons.

First off I'm shoot trad bows and I'm a gap shooter. That being said I like a heavy arrow for pass throughs since I don't have the arrow speed a compound does. When I added weight to carbons via heavy broadheads the arrow will really take a dive at say 25 yrds. When I went to aluminum the same...
I still shoot them. Recently switched back to aluminum from carbon. Much easier to tune and I can get a heavier arrow to fly flatter with less drop than carbon.

Been lurking for a while but decided to finally jump into the forum! I hang my hat in south central Oklahoma but I've been hunting out west for 3 years now. I've picked up some good info on this sight so far. I've really enjoyed listening to all the good stories and wealth of info this forum has...
