    Is 60lb draw weight enough?

    Yes. I usually get pass throughs on elk with my 60# compound. Sharp broadheads, decent arrow weight, and stay off the shoulder blade.

    DEET damage

    I was using deet while caribou hunting. Had it on my hands and it took the paint of the grip on my bow. I washed it off well with dish soap, but the damage was already done.

    Need Wider Boots. Who makes them?

    I wear EE or EEE (cowboy boots and whites) depending on the boot. The Crispi Idaho works great for me, but I did have a wide pair of kenetrek that fit ok as well. Wide sized Lowa and Mendels don’t work for me. I found wide sizes to vary by make and model, I’ve had to try on a bunch.

    Elk kills with a .270?

    I’ve killed several bulls with my 270, shooting 150 partitions. Works great.
