I purchased a CVA Cascade last year in 6.5 PRC, haven't had it long enough to give an actual review, that being said, I really like the rifle, groups around 1" with factory Hornady ammo, feels well built, stock is solid, nice trigger, feeds really nice, no complaints thus far. Plan to work up a...
5 months and waiting for my first can, SS kiosk at Local specialty gun shop. Friend bought his the same time thru local Scheels store, his been approved, picked up and test fired at the range.
Looking for recommendations for what powders would be a good choice for loading some 130gr Nosler Accubonds? I am leaning towards 4831sc, just dont want to be buying several different types at the crazy cost these days while working up a load.
Anybody use these during field dressing to split the pelvic bone? I left my last one at the kill site and forgot it after use, too far to drive back for it. Just wondering if there are any better alternatives, they were the first of it's kind to hit the market years ago. Guessing somebody has...
I've had and shot a .280 for most my hunting life, I have taken everything from pronghorn up to Canadian moose. Its always been my go to rifle, nothing fancy Rem 700 action, H-S Precision stock, Timney trigger topped with Nikon 4-16 scope. I load exclusively Nosler Accubonds with Great success...
Another vote for boots, without question! Lots of quality hunting boots on the market. Very subjective so be sure to try several brands if possible. I love Meindl. other hunting buddies have Crispi and Kenetrek. Everyone has a different foot structure, what works well for one person might fit...

I plan to have my 24" barrel 6.5 PRC cut down to accommodate a suppressor. I am gonna cut to 20 or 21" , plan to work up a load with 130 Nosler AB, to help regain the fps loss, I will use the rife primarily for deer and pronghorn.
I am hoping to be in the 2850 fps or hopefully slightly more...
Is anybody loading Nosler 130AB in the 6.5 PRC? Don't see them mentioned very often and I have had Great results with them in the past in other calibers, both with accuracy and performance. Going to work up a load with some Lapua brass and will be an 21" barrel, hoping to find 3100 fps and sub...
