Yes, it covers food sources. I would ask that question to the biologists in your hunting area. Habitat, food sources, elevation, drought and animal behavior differ in different areas. You should get more specific info from biologists that knows the specific area you intend to hunt.

Just remember, just because there is a broken blue line, on a map for water, doesn't mean there will be water there. Have a lot of plans and adjust accordingly when you have boots on the ground. Elk are where they are, not always where you want them to be.

Hard to tell with that small of a screenshot. Looks like you are looking for benches in dark timber. If food and water are around, its a good starting point.

There are plenty of good general units in Wy. Go to Gohunt.com and do some research. A lot of general units in the western part of WY, are in Grizz country. A lot will have wilderness that non res can't hunt without a guide or a resident. There are general units with every kind of terrain out...
With point creep, I would say you are definitely looking at the plus side of 8 years, in unit 38 for type 9, with currently having 3 points.
