Your vision-how much is it worth?

This will be a bit long winded and it is what happened to me. 18 months ago I had a stroke. The stroke affected my vision, balance, coordination, migraines, vertigo, memory and cognitive issues. I was seeing double and everything shifted to the left along with vertigo and migraines. About 2...

    Shooting because Merica

Because it’s Independence Day weekend and King George tucked tail and went back to the Island ( I can crap talk because both sides of my family are from the Island) we broke out the ARs and slung some lead and copper down range. Crappy ammo Bench rest First upper I built with a DPMS MK12...

It was time to toss them out

My ”lucky” hunting gloves. I think they’re 18 years old. Haven’t used them for probably 6 years but they were in the “spares” tub 🤣. Hope I don’t get skunked next year.

Another new FFP “hunting” scope that missed the mark

Tract‘s new 2.5-15 reticle is the same crap as everyone else who releases a scope for long range hunting. We don’t need 10 Mils each direction of center for wind holds and we don’t need 9 Mils to hold under, very very few people are going to use the upper part of reticle to range. JTFC! Keep the...

    Washington AWB and Preemption

Looks like you guys will be getting bent over so you better act if it will help. If you’re fine with weapon and magazine bans and letting every individual city/township/county make their own gun laws, well, may your chains rest lightly. Rights being stripped away is not a good thing whether you...

Are You Getting Bad Blood Trails with the 6.5 Creedmoor? This Is Why

not sure how I came across this article but there’s so much wrong info in it, of course it is Outdoor Life LOL! Shot placement is a thing and a high single lung hit results in long track jobs because of little to no blood. Look at the pic of Dahlke’s buck and the entrance hole on the “shoulder”...

If you’re a federal contractor your termination date is on hold

Fed contractor vaxx mandate has been put on hold. Injunction I know a few of my former coworkers were set to be terminated tomorrow but I guess they’ll stick around a while longer. I won’t get into the DOD mandate and the EUA. Judge slapped the DOD and Pfizer peepee on that one too. Stay...

Camera Land came through for me

My order of in stock items came tonight. Still waiting on SWFA to ship my in-stock items. Guess I shouldn’t be surprised. If they run a Black Friday sale don’t be surprised if you don’t get what you ordered for a while. Wife wanted these binocs when she looked through mine while camping and I...

Those that have had different brands of scope adapters

What have you settled on? Is there a compromise with a universal like Novagrade over phone skope? Nova looks good for switching between spotter and binos and rifle. I’d be using all 3 but as I get older I’m tired of compromising. my universal adapter I bought from Doug is frustrating at times...

Dallas Safari Club pulls support for BLM pick

Looks like they actually did some research after people complained and found some things they don’t like. One being her past from the eco-terrorism days and two being an article her husband published in 2018. It’s totally okay though, right? DSC pulls support

Gun control: UBCs pass the house

The house passed UBCs for all gun transactions. I’m sure there’s fine print in there for family stuff so many people won’t care. Everybody should care because government intrusion in you lives has never helped anyone. I can see this passBig the Senate when it gets there. Some Rs are getting...

First month of 2021 and it went downhill quickly

2020 was pretty good for us. My daughter qualified for a national figure skating event. We camped a lot at my parents farm which I posted alot of pics from in the photography section. My daughter finally killed her first deer which was a small 8 and a second one during rifle that was a much...

    XBolt HCS observations

A few things I noticed about my new HCS. First is it fits me pretty well. Second is nice smooth bolt and the trigger isn’t too bad out of the box. It’s no early 90s 700 trigger but it’s not the worst trigger you can get from the factory. third the Barrel is floated but not real well. Okay, now...

I need the low down on a Hells Canyon Speed. Now which scope the creed

I found one locally in 6.5 CM at a very good price. I’ve already spent my wad on 2 rifles this week. Like I need another one 🤪 Wife said this week she’d never tell me no when it came to guns. Are you happy with the rifle? Would you buy one again? Any issues with feeding or accuracy?

    Our drought has ended

Less than an inch of rain in the last 30 days and last night it opened up. 5+” of rain overnight and its still pouring rain. Yard is flooded, streets are flooded and I’m assuming the small villages downstream from me in the valleys will flood out again. Google Ontario Wisconsin flooding and...

    Athlon Cronus 20-60x86

Received this the other night. I’ll be using it quite frequently in the evenings over the next few weeks. My wife bought me a Vortex Viper HD 15-45 for an anniversary gift and I was less than impressed with it. She didn’t ask me about a spotter but knew I wanted one so she asked a friend in the...

    Anesthesia hangover

I feel like crap after my knee surgery yesterday. Anesthesia is taking forever to wear off. Cotton mouth is bad but drinking water slowly because my stomach feels a bit weird yet. One knee done possibly the other one in a month.

Knee surgery is in my future

My tib and fib are finally healing and had MRI done. The report came back and states: 1)Torn posterior horn of medial meniscus. 2)chondromalacia patella. Looks like I’ll be having more quality time in my recliner soon and a lot more PT in my future. My back pain is probably around a 3 so I can...
