    Another Fierce Firearms Issue

I have a fierce rifle and after three shots the groups spread out incredibly wide. Has anyone put a different barrel on their Fierce rifle? I like the stock and action but their carbon barrel leaves a lot to be desired. I also had some customer service issues when sending it back for some work...

AK Moose/Caribou Planning and Gear Lessons Learned

Agree, but make sure there is wood available. There was no wood where we were off the Ivashak river in the Brooks range, except what we could scrounge from the river, which was not much. A stove will help you dry out boots and clothes.

AK Moose/Caribou Planning and Gear Lessons Learned

I brought the Seek DST on our Aug-Sep caribou hunt in the Brooks Range. It held up very well and kept us out of the rain in camp. Definitely recommend it. Waders and wadding boots are another must for that area, I wore them the entire time. we were just off the Ivashak river. The whole area was...

Ti Ridgeline or Build Custom 6.5/7mm

Did you get the Seekins or the Rival? I am considering those as well as the CA Ti Ridgeline and Carbon Edge from Fierce.

    Mystery Ranch pintler

I used the MR Pop-up 28 to haul out an elk quarter, backstrap and neck meat without issue. It's a great day hunting pack and the load shelf lets you pack out a quarter or more right away. I am also considering a Kifaru for another option.

New pack - Kifaru or Mystery Ranch

Kifaru is made in the USA, 100%. I would give them a try. I am looking at their packs now. That said, I have a MR Metcalf and a Pop-up 28, which I used to carry out an elk quarter, backstrap and neck meat. The load shelf worked well. Not too bad for a day pack with a load shelf.

    2019 First Lite

The Corrugate Guide pants performed flawlessly for me elk hunting in Colorado last season. I also wear those and the Obsidians for just bumming around and especially for travel. So comfortable and functional.

    2019 First Lite

It only makes sense to add the pot and hip vents. Won’t buy skiing pants and jackets without them.

Stone Glacier Kiowa 3200 Range Bag

Will the airlines allowed to use it as a carry-on? Will it meet the size limitations? Thanks for the great pictures. I’m thinking about using this for hiking and camping trips as well as a carry-on bag for weekend trips.

    My new favorite wool pants

First Lite Obsidian wool pants are great. I wear them as often as possible.

    Gaiter choice

I used the First Lite Bramblers for archery elk hunting last year in CO. They took a lot of abuse and seem bombproof. However for archery season when it’s warmer, they definitely run a little warm. For colder or wet weather, the First Lite gators would be a solid choice.

    Kuiu icon or Stone Glacier

I have been very happy with Mystery Ranch but SG seems to have great quality packs as well. Never used Kuiu.

    Others in shoulder recovery?

Thanks for everyone’s comments. And Bigolmuley, wow, inspiring. Puts things into perspective. So far I have not been a good patient and have been pushing it. Didn’t think I’d do that. I’ll see what the doctor says this week.
