    Kuiu sale ?

What did you see specifically that was marked up? I don’t follow all there gear but all the stuff I’ve had my eye on for over a year or so didn’t increase in price before this sale.

    Brightest head lamp available?

It’s bigger than what I would use, but if brightest is what you are going for this is about the brightest I’ve found without strapping a car light to your head. http://www.ff-light.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=54 XPL Hi are going to be the brightest led option.

    Synthetics base layers ???

A year or two ago I asked them when they would be getting more of the 200 bottoms and they said they were discontinued. Then this summer they showed up again and sold out pretty fast. I expect they will be back again next year.

    DWR

Just an FYI, I was told by arcteryx technical support to not use wash in dwr on rain jackets because it hurts breathability. They only recommend spray on dwr. I’ve also heard that fabric needs to be really wet to absorb dwr.

    Headlamp recommendation

I have a couple skilhunt h03 lights that have been solid for a couple years. You can use a rechargeable 18650 or two cr123. They can be found pretty cheap on banggood with a coupon code.

    Zebralight Batteries

If you didn’t charge it before using it they typically don’t ship fully charged. That’s a good battery and as long as you purchased it from zebralight it should be fine. There are lots of knockoffs on batteries that you need to be careful with. I wouldn’t buy from amazon or eBay for...

    Another Pants Post

Kuiu attack pants with a zip off base layer would be what I would take.

    Heated Base Layer HELP

I occasionally use a heated Milwaukee tool vest and it’s decent. My particular one is made for work so it’s a bit big and bulky. The one you have pictured looks more comfortable. I haven’t gotten lower back spasms since I started using it and that was my main driver on trying to stay a little...

    Gloves

If you are just sitting in a stand I personally like to use a lighter glove for dexterity with one of those hand warming pouches.

Top of the line. Which model?

    Merino Base Layers

If it wasn’t good with smells I probably wouldn’t use it. It holds moisture and always feels damp to me. I honestly prefer it for warm weather situations compared to cold weather.

    Kuiu Strong Fleece

My peloton 200 will arrive tomorrow so I can’t compare yet but the 260 blocks the wind pretty good but they use a lighter weight fleece on the back and backs of arms that the wind gets through easier.

Backpacking watch, - large display, alarm, and easy...

I love the range man. It’s my daily wear, but the screen needs to be looked at at a certain angle for the numbers to be clear which is annoying. I do love the barometer and the sunrise/sunset features though. Great watch.

I’ve found the gd350 at most Walmarts FYI.

Backpacking watch, - large display, alarm, and easy...

It may be more complicated than you are looking for, it does have a stop watch, count down timer, up to five different alarm clocks, but I really like the Casio gshock gd350-8. It has a big easy to read display, the modes are easy to set, the backlighting is really bright and can practically be...

    Kuiu StrongFleece Hybrid 260...thoughts?

I just want to mention for people considering this piece that the main material resists wind pretty good but at the backs of the arms and back, which use a lower weight fleece, the wind cuts through pretty easily.

    Backcountry watch

I wear a Casio gw9400 rangeman daily and I love it. It’s solar power. The battery/capacitor (not a standard coin cell) can be replaced but it’s good for ten years. It checks all the boxes you listed.

    Zebralight. Is it worth it??

Advanced knife bro on YouTube has a good review of a straight body zebralight s600 mk iii with run times that would be pretty informative for some of your questions. He does pretty good reviews. High cri is worth it in my opinion over higher lumen output. These lights are so small they...

    Kuiu StrongFleece Hybrid 260...thoughts?

So I got mine in today. Initial impressions are good. I would go with a large if I were you. I am a 41” chest and it fit about perfect in that area. The stomach area could be tightened up a bit but I wouldn’t call it loose. The forearms are the tightest part and I actually wish they were...
