What did you see specifically that was marked up? I don’t follow all there gear but all the stuff I’ve had my eye on for over a year or so didn’t increase in price before this sale.

Brightest head lamp available?

Synthetics base layers ???

A year or two ago I asked them when they would be getting more of the 200 bottoms and they said they were discontinued. Then this summer they showed up again and sold out pretty fast. I expect they will be back again next year.

DWR

Just an FYI, I was told by arcteryx technical support to not use wash in dwr on rain jackets because it hurts breathability. They only recommend spray on dwr. I’ve also heard that fabric needs to be really wet to absorb dwr.

Headlamp recommendation

I have a couple skilhunt h03 lights that have been solid for a couple years. You can use a rechargeable 18650 or two cr123. They can be found pretty cheap on banggood with a coupon code.

Zebralight Batteries

If you didn’t charge it before using it they typically don’t ship fully charged. That’s a good battery and as long as you purchased it from zebralight it should be fine. There are lots of knockoffs on batteries that you need to be careful with. I wouldn’t buy from amazon or eBay for...

Heated Base Layer HELP

Merino Base Layers

If it wasn’t good with smells I probably wouldn’t use it. It holds moisture and always feels damp to me. I honestly prefer it for warm weather situations compared to cold weather.

My peloton 200 will arrive tomorrow so I can’t compare yet but the 260 blocks the wind pretty good but they use a lighter weight fleece on the back and backs of arms that the wind gets through easier.

Backpacking watch, - large display, alarm, and easy...

I love the range man. It’s my daily wear, but the screen needs to be looked at at a certain angle for the numbers to be clear which is annoying. I do love the barometer and the sunrise/sunset features though. Great watch.

I just want to mention for people considering this piece that the main material resists wind pretty good but at the backs of the arms and back, which use a lower weight fleece, the wind cuts through pretty easily.

I wear a Casio gw9400 rangeman daily and I love it. It’s solar power. The battery/capacitor (not a standard coin cell) can be replaced but it’s good for ten years. It checks all the boxes you listed.
