    I’ve got both the Yamaha 550 grizzly and Honda foreman 400. I loan the Honda out and ride the Grizzly mostly because the ride is much more comfortable on the Grizzly. The Grizzly is louder and faster. I’ve repaired the Electronic shifting twice on the Honda.

    Make sure it’s based on a 60” wheel width. A fair number of ‘hobby’ tractors are narrower and won’t fit the standard 30” row width.

    I cannot imagine trying to wait out a long rainstorm in a bivy... I have twice, I’m graduating to a Durston Xmid 2. Same weight as my tarp and bivy and much nicer for those rainy periods.

    The proposed National Monument is not going to be in unit 61, I hope it doesn’t pass though. It’s going to be along the Dolores River down to utah in unit 40 and 60 If it passes.

    Delta, Grand Junction, etc are quite conservative, The West Elk, Ragged, Oh Be Joyful, Maroon Bell wildernesses are close by to Delta.

    I always like the guys who will say “I hear” is there but don’t really know anything. Palisade is the best town in the Grand Valley (Grand Junction is in The Grand Valley) followed by Fruita. Palisade even has a paid firefighter gig but GJ pays better. Feel free to PM me

    I’ve ridden a mtn bike over it, an atv, various motorcycles, a 2 wheel drive 1978 Ford pickup, a VW Beetle, and most recently a Toyota 4Runner. It’s not as rough as it was in the 70’s and 80’s.

    Cinnamon Pass between Silverton and Lake City is an easy drive for any vehicle with a little bit of ground clearance. It’s not technical.

    You can always head to Baja if the cold gets to you. We’ve driven down in our slide in camper and love Baja, Mexico.
