Heading back to Idaho this spring. It’ll be my second spring bear hunt, had some close calls on spot and stalk last year but thought about trying my hand at throwing some bait out. I know where I’m going there are bears, and also people baiting bears. My question is how long does it normally...
Me and a few guys are wanting to do spring bear in Alaska this upcoming year (2022), mainly to get familiar with Alaska and the adventure. We are looking at either a air-taxi drop hunt or a float trip. We’d also like to do some fishing while there. Any recommendations for float trip/air taxi...
Excellent condition. Only been used on 2 hunts and only taken out of the case a few times. Glass is in great condition. Spotted a couple bears in Idaho with no issue, just not going to get to use it this year due to school. Asking 350.
I have read through the regs and looked over the forums and still can’t find a for sure answer.
I drew an archery elk tag with 0 points but did not draw my deer tag. If I end up drawing a deer tag in the secondary draw can I return my elk tag and get my preference point for this year or no?
Looking to do either a semi-guided/drop camp or guided black bear hunt in 2022. Willing to go either way depending on reputation, cost, etc. Anyone have any recommendations? Hunting with a stickbow and never killed a bear so baiting most likely preferred to get the feet wet.

For you guys that live and hunt in Alaska, how is it? I’ve read a few things online but none of those perspectives were written by hunters. I understand it has its down side as does every other place but couldn’t be so bad living in hunting paradise.
I come from SETX, some of the worst bowhunting I think there is so I was more than happy to go do some hunting in Oklahoma on my cousins land. With it being late season and the deer being so pressured I was mainly focused on getting some meat in the freezer.
Day 1: Ended up shooting 2 deer out...
I’m likely headed to Idaho for the first time this elk season. Not asking for units or anything like that. Trying not to run into a grizzly though. From what I’ve read they are mostly in the central to northern part of Idaho. Anyone have any advice for a guy going into grizzly country for the...
I don’t see much about what you do in the critical moments that allows you to self film a kill so I figured it would be cool to start. I film with a DSLR and heard this when I first started. Zoom all the way in and focus the image using manual. Now zoom out to the appropriate range and...
Hunting CO in September for elk. My dad and I will be buying OTC tags as we do every year but this year we are bringing along a friend that wants to shoot a mule deer. Is there any opportunity for us at this point to get a mule deer archery tag?
Looking to get into filming my archery hunts and taking decent quality photos. Have it narrowed down to these two choices due to budget and other various reasons. Looking for more insight to help me make a decision. I have heard the battery life is bad on the a6000 and it has an overheating...
