    Crocs and seal skinz socks. Perfect for river crossing and wet camp areas. In ice, we add a pair if light duty hiker chainz for grip. Not sure the sock model but mine goes up a hair higher than my hiking socks do

    Yah pretty sure you hit the nail on the head for the largest factor. The user. I bet the second largest reason is the wife when she sees what was spent for that 4 day trip out west, a freezer, a new gun, and the groceries bill when you don't fill that freezer haha.     There is a reason why manufacturing companies produce simple variations and not entirely custom products. But heck, if someone wants to pay the cost, maybe they could do a limited run. But I would factor a guess that the price would triple if not quadruple.
