    KitchenAid is taking the lead with Mrs fwafwow - for all of them - gas range (downdraft - apparently not common), fridge, icemaker and wall oven microwave combo. They have bundling price breaks. But CR gives 3/5 for reliability and customer satisfaction for KitchenAid.

    Yep. The trade off is that we then have wasted space in the fridge/freezer. Maybe the solution is to go with ice maker in the freezer.

    You can have the cabinets in the kitchen match the fridge. The cabinet maker can make the panel to match the “panel ready” fridge. I’m still working out whether I/we care about that.

    I’ve had problems with the thru the door water and ice dispensers in a few fridges, so I was thinking of avoiding both. I can replace the ice with a separate ice maker. Maybe I’m being too reactive, as maybe the problem is the thru the door option? I am checking out Miele. Thanks!
