    Which Bivy?

    Check out Enlightened Equipment Recon Bivy. Not sure what the wait times are but comes in long. I'm 6'6" and it is a tight fit but have spent ~30 nights in it. Toss in a small tarp and it's a nice 12-14oz shelter option for ~$250.

    x2 on the Maven b.2 9x45's or 11x45's. The x56's are really big/heavy to carry on your chest as all-around binos. I think this is the best all around bino for the value. They are close enough to the high-end glass and have a similar warranty but can get new for just over 1k or used on here...

    I second the Elk 101 comment. Also check out youtube channels for Born and Raised Outdoors, Hushin, and Randy Newburg. All three channels have hours and hours of content on public land hunting. Randy did some great videos talking about the different states tag system as well.
