I have had similar issue. I took my bow back to the shop and re-chronograph and checked the draw weight. This time is was the string loosing up, the other time it was my anchor point

Sight pins for elk

I had a similar situation happen to me and I didn’t take the shot. After that I practice shooting my higher yard pins at shorter yards, mainly 20. Now I’m pretty confident I can make that shot

Single pin sight in hunting situations

I have been shooting single pins for 5 years and I will never go back to a multiple pin. For elk hunting my sight is set at 35 yards when walking around. For my bow a 35yard pin is in an elks kill zone from 20-45 yard.

How sharp does a broadhead need to be?
