If you were using a rifle without bedding it very well could also be that it was a shift in the mating between action and stock. The force of pressing down on the barrel and stock in uneven ground can certainly shift poi.
Tikka rough tech in 30-06 comes with a 20 inch barrel to help you with OAL when you screw a can on and already threaded tube. Lots of mono options and you should have plenty of velocity at 400 to still be safe for monos opening.

Depending on the DNZ rings the ring screws need much higher torque than most people think according to them. You might already have that managed but just a flat in case you have not.
Is anyone aware of lowest option for tikka pic rail 0 MOA? Seems what I can find indicates the factory ctr and area 419 (which is 20 moa).
