Red dot. No magnification needed. With everything under 100 yards you'll never use a variable nor will you have the time to adjust it in many cases. I'd go something short and easy to get acquisition on like a Vortex Crossfire or a Sig Romeo 5.
Boyd's has most of their lineup available for the RA. I just put a feather light thumbhole on mine in .223 and it is a huge improvement. Solid, stable, and a joy to shoot. For those that don't care for the thumbhole, their Pro varmint has a pretty vertical grip and the comb is pretty inline...
You might have not gotten the stock cups fully extended. There are 3 detents so 4 positions total. When new it feels like the cups won't extend any further than 2 clicks, but they will. You have to man handle them. Many people go to the extended cups without ever realizing they didn't get the...
You just can't go wrong with the Conquests. They are a rock solid choice... And here's a classic video I like that should extinguish any buyers remorse:

You say you're partial to Meopta. There is a set of 10x42 Meostar B1's (Cabela's Euro) on the classifieds right now in your price range ($575) You won't find anything close for that money.
If only it were that simple. There are 4-5 major glass makers for high end optics. Most have over 100 glass products in their optical glass catalog of varying grades. Then the glass makers and/or the optics maker both have proprietary coatings based on size and model. Add in the internals...
I'll let you know in a couple years. Just picked up some West River 2.0's. Seems pretty stout so far.
If you want to make a brand switch, Schnee's is currently having a great sale on 2022 and 2023 model hunting boots. They always get good reviews.
Offering up a like-new Tract Toric in 12.5 x 50. Used on one scouting trip. Never been hunted. All glass is perfect. These rival my Zeiss Conquest in optical quality. Smooth focus and hinge. The armor has one smudge as shown. I absolutely love them but am going back to 10x's for spotting...
The Conquests are really hard to beat for the money. Optics wise the Conquests probably sit between the HD SLC's and WB's. All three are very decent glass even in today's market.
If you found them for $700, the Razors are tough to beat. Keep in mind several brands and retailers will have some Black Friday deals soon. Tract usually has a good holiday discount and their Tract bino's are on par with Razors, if not a touch better. Their warranty is solid as well.
