    Calculating backcountry miles

@ozyclint done and done! 14 days in the back country and my knees are still stiff. Crazy how going 600-800 yards can end up taking 1.5+ hours.

    280 Remington bullet

150 eld-x has been the go to out of my 280. Actually just got back from NZ where it performed fairly well on a decent sized stag. Bullet destroyed on side shoulder and expanded rapidly enough to take out 3 on side ribs. Opposite rib cage was untouched but there wasn’t a piece of lung left larger...

Dukes, scratch kitchen, aloha kitchen, egghead cafe, Nico’s pier 38. Those are some higher dollar places but all great.

    Buck 631 Paklite

I really wanted a Benchmade meatcrafter when they first came out but could never convince myself it was worth the $400. I just recently picked up a paklite 636 and am very impressed. Buck has come out with a lot of good stuff here recently with the options to have been s35vn or s30v steels.

Lets talk power banks for different types of trips.

^^^ I just ran the same test again. The first test totaled 423% of charging and the second totaled 411%. So I'd say a total of 4 full charges. How many days it'll last will be dependent % used per day, which for me is to be determined with this new phone.

Tikka updating 300 wsm twist rate- 1-10”

I have lived in, hunted, and owned firearms in Europe for several years and you simply could not be more wrong. To substantiate this, I will say that there were situations that I felt more free traveling from country to country in Europe with a firearm then from state to state in the US. There...

Lets talk power banks for different types of trips.

I have a new iPhone15 (not the max) and a new 20k ankor. These are the numbers it gave me over a week at the house. Each row is a new day, first number is phone battery % when I plugged it in at night and second number is % charge when I woke up in the morning. Keep in mind these are house hold...

Help Understanding Energy, Distance, and Angled Shots

@hereinaz (or anyone for that matter) What's the correct solution: A. Input 500 yards into ballistic solver and change angle to 30* = 6.75MOA B. Use AMR of 433 yards and leave ballistic solver at 0* = 6.25MOA All environmentals and ballistics were left exactly the same for both problems...

    .280 Rem

As @Motown stated, if you can find RL26 it really brings the 280 to the next level.

    .280 Rem

I have several rifles from 223 to 375 in several different configurations, but #1 in the line up is always my browning x-bolt in 280 rem. If you reload you can really make it sing by bumping up the weak sami spec pressure to a still safe 63 to 64 psi.

    Whats on your Christmas list?

@Mojave Put those VAT forms to use and if they still do the junger Jäger program at Frankonia it's a hell of a deal. I was able to pick up a safe at bauhaus for a reasonable price, again use your VAT forms. Any chance you're around Baumholder or Ramstein? If so I may still have some contacts...

    Stupid is easy

I know first hand (I didn't do it, I was just there) that a ruger m77 chambered in 300 wm will shoot a 30/06 case. The POI was only off by about 2 moa, the rife is still in use today and no worse for the wear but that piece of 06' brass sure wasn't going to make it through another pass in a...

Trailer light replacement kits - source for quality parts

I played with cheap lights for way to long on a boat trailer. I had to replace the cheap lights once a year if not more often. Finally spent the money on some sealed marine LED lights and they lasted 8 years and were still working perfectly fine when I sold the boat. I would have saved myself...

    swine hunting in Spain

Paris was my personal tenth ring of hell. Spain is a different world entirely, even Barcelona wasn't bad but hinting Ibex for five days in the mountains of Coratxa was absolute heaven. Spain has an incredible hunting culture, I'd encourage you to go experience it any way you can.
