    I’m feeling the same way. because I have always been blessed by the Good Lord my entire long life and trust Him for as long or short as it may be. He would have caused me to miss or not recover the game but if I died I wouldn’t mind at all because I know where I’m going when it’s my time to go.

    Lost freezer full of elk myself (my mother had a freezer in her garage) and her maid didn't shut the door all the way on an upright freezer. It is a terrible waste of some of the finest meat there is to be had.

    Large caliber lever action

    I've only shot one 45/70 which was a Marlin and that was to sight it in for a friend. It was so accurate I got it done with only 5 rounds. I told him that if he ever decided to part with it that he had to let me have first chance at it but it wasn't a safe queen but none of mine are.
