    308 vs 6.5

Just depends on rifle selection at that point, if it'd all the same I'd probably take the 6.5

    6.5 creed vs 30-06

Not trying to start a war but if yall have to pick one, which would it be? Rifles weigh the same and you can handload for both. Which is getting the nod for back country deer ( out to 600 )?

    Copper disappointment..

I had the same thing happen to me 2 times last year same bullet just in its .264 variant. No expansion, 0 blood, luckily stumbled upon both deer while looking but could have ended poorly

    Light weight rifle scopes

Ideally would like to keep it pretty affordable around the 500 range but it never hurts to have quality glass. Just hate to put a 1200 scope on a 500 dollar rifle

    Light weight rifle scopes

I recently picked up a remington 700 in 3006, rifle is super light and handy so im looking to top it with glass that accordingly fits the style. I've got a ziess v4 that's 23oz but it's being used on my 300 prc and I intend on using that rifle for my elk hunt. I've never had a bad...

    McMillan vs Grayboe

Waiting on my greyboe as well, was the most cost effective solution for me. I have a buddy who has a greyboe terrain on his rifle and I liked it so ordered a Phoenix on labor day for 25% off

Must have gear for a beginner

Recently moved to Oklahoma. Me and the Mrs have been bitten by the coyote bug. I've never really pursued it hard like I do with deer and elk. Trying to get in to it on a budget $300 or $400. Already have the rifles, range finder, binos. What are some of the must have that yall can not go with...

    New varmint rifle

So very recently the Mrs has taken an intrest in shooting varmints ( Prairie dogs to coyotes and everything in between ). She bought a 6.5 creed 2 years ago and it's been one hell of a deer rifle and I would say if she was just into coyote hunting we'd use that BUT she won't let this Prairie...

Show me your elk rifle and weight?

Yeah I would agree. I had a howa 1500 (unbraked) in 338 win mag that would absolutly make me question my existence EVERY time I shot it. Loaded some pug loads for it and made it tolerable but that rifle weighed 10lbs scoped. I don't see how your 7lb rifle doesn't just beat the snot out of you...

    A sentimental .260 Terminator

Will do .260 rem is by far my favorite cartridge. .260 terminator is a hot rodded 260 rem. Pushes a 140 class projectile at or above 3000fps so it rivals the 6.5 prc. Look up defense edges website for the cartridge break down its pretty slick.

    Pronghorn———>Elk

Realistically any of those will get it done out to 500, personally I'd lean 30-06, 308 or 6.5 prc. Get a rifle with a threaded barrel, put a TI Pro brake on it and you won't feel the thing go off. If your not going to hand I'd lean more towards 30-06 or 308 for 2 reasons, no replacement for...

    A sentimental .260 Terminator

To keep a long story short, when I was 18 I was gifted a late 90's model remington 700 chambered in 30-06 by my grandfather. This rifle has sat in the safe and collected dust really since I was given it. Not because I didn't like it, just didn't fill any sort of roll for me. I already had my go...

    Colorado unit 140 public land

It's 3 miles to get to where I can start rifle hunting. Main concern right now is if the snow pushes them off the top down to lake Dorothy I can't take the rifle. I have no issue archery hunting them but would much rather rifle hunt.
