recently picked up a used Bowtech insanity cpxl, 70 lb limbs, rip cord rest, 28" draw. draw weight topped out at 68 lbs. the original owner was shooting 400 spine Easton Flatlines with 100 grain heads, factory insert.
i wanted to bump up FOC a little but nothing crazy. i picked up a few 300...
just got a new-to-me Bowtech Insanity CPXL. 72 lb draw. arrow length will be 27.5". i would like to shoot 175 or 200 up front.
I just spoke to Black Eagle and they recommend a 200 spine arrow. does that seem right? i'm obviously not the expert here and ideally i would love to build a few...
This forum and community helped me tremendously in preparing for my hunt. so i figured i would try and pay it forward to the next guy or gal gearing up for their hunt... Here is my final list of what ended up in the truck and in my pack for the hunt. we truck camped and bivy'd in a couple days...
I made this tarp to be very versatile. I wanted a fly for my hammock and also a tarp to pitch in an A frame or closed off on one end. I definitely over built it with the reinforcements and all the guy out loops and stake loops. I even put some small loops inside on the ridge line to hang a...
I put the Outdoor Vitals zero degree Atlas bag through the paces on a 9 day hunt in Colorado in late september. temps at night were consistently around 20*. i mostly just slept in my nylon hunting pants and my FL Kiln Hoodie. i did wear my puffy to bed a couple nights when it was colder but had...
on a recent hunt i bounced back and forth between Darn Tough light cushion hiker, medium cushion hiker and the First Lite Triad. The light hiker either didnt make my feet sweat as bad or did a better job wicking it away but the other 2 socks with a little more cushion kept my feet soggy all day...
So after many days glassing first and last light and freezing my balls off I now know the value of puffy pants.
My question...for a September archery hunt would I be better served with puffy pants or a woobie for its versatility?
i'm interested in traditional archery. my son who is only 3 right now loves shooting his toy bows whenever i practice at home and will undoubtedly having a hunting obsession too. i think it would be fun for him and i to start the trad journey together in a few years. i may start a little sooner...
I have a new medium Kifaru duplex belt in wolf gray. never been worn out of the house. i need a small. i would be interested in an even swap as long as yours is in good condition. i would obviously prefer gray but not opposed to other colors. if i don't get any hits on trading by the end of the...
i would prefer the hunter frame in gray or green, normal composite stays. frame must be 26" with a small belt. I think a 24" will still work though. I'm 5'10" with 18" torso. i really don't care for camo patterns.
also looking for a pack. something in the ball park of a reckoning, cavern or...
Size medium (i should have bought a small). I took it on 1 short hike. The pack is flawless. I replaced the zipper pulls with different color cord. Easy to swap out if you dont like the color.
$420 shipped TYD. PayPal F&F or you pay the fee.
I was on a first rifle group application in a unit that we had very high draw odds in but didn't draw. what's done is done. what are my options now? we really want meat over horns.
correct me if i'm wrong but there are no OTC 1st rifle tags right?
I have a new with tag still attached medium foliage Marshall. Im interested in trading for a medium Beartooth preferably foilage. Open to offers to buy this pack as well.
Full disclosure it has seen about 3-4 miles with some weight but absolutely perfect condition.
i have a new Marshall pack on the guide lite frame. i packed 50 lbs yesterday for about 3 miles and it was a struggle. to compare, i previously owned a beartooth on the new guide lite MT frame and packed 60 lbs and it was a dream. i know there are differences in the 2 frames and waist belts but...
I've read so many stove build threads i can't see straight. only thing holding me up now is finding stainless shim stock wider than 12". i prefer have a cylinder stove that is 16-18" deep. does anyone know where i can find some? and titanium is kind of cost prohibitive at this point. thank yall!
