    Every one of them I have ever handled felt a little hard to bolt when new. I have a few friends that are on their 3 or 4th year now and they have worn in nice.

    Opinions on Matthews and PSE bows

    I would suggest going to a pro shop that carrys the 2 brands you listed and shoot them. I fancy my mathew bows. But everyone is different.
