Thanks for all the replies. I had no issues throughout the season (tears rips etc..) using the drill method. After drilling them and wearing them with the ventilation holes I forgot they were there. No issues when kneeling either. Win for me. -

it’s well-known that the Sitka knee pads are hot..... after sweating my knee caps off the other day in the high country I decided to drill holes in mine. Works like a dream.....
