    Rokslide 2022 Weight Loss Thread

Down 7 lbs to 227 from my last post on 02/15/22. Sprained my knee snowboarding so my workouts have hit a wall. I can at least still run on the treadmill with a knee sleeve on. Going to keep doing that until it feels stable enough to do MTNtough workouts again. Can't wait to start doing...

    Rokslide 2022 Weight Loss Thread

To many sugary snacks and carb heavy meals this winter. I weighed myself last week and saw that I had put on about 15 pounds since September. A little horrified, it definitely sparked a change in my mindset. I trained pretty hard using MTNTOUGH last summer/fall, was at around 220 but my feet...

    Nu-Way Propane Heaters

I think that would be overkill, one is plenty in my opinion.

    Nu-Way Propane Heaters

Definitely! Makes a big difference. Super easy to install. Otherwise most of the heat just goes right up through the vent.

    Nu-Way Propane Heaters

I should add that I bought the wall pipe kit from this site. I installed a dampener on the first section of pipe too. I also had to screw the pieces together so they didn't shift around from the wind.

    Nu-Way Propane Heaters

Super easy to install. I cried a little when I had to cut the canvas but I didn't have to put anything extra in. The heat around it was fine. I use a double wall pipe for the part that goes through the jack and that makes a big difference.

    Nu-Way Propane Heaters

Second on the Nuway 3500 model. Plenty of heat for my Kodiak Canvas 10x14. I use the same tent as Bruce. Got the idea from his thread actually! I installed this stove jack with it. Pretty good system.

WA state spring bear petition !!!!!!!!!

Signed and submitted both!! This is a slap to the face of every hunter and conservationist across the country. If you think it will stop there, think again. Give them an inch and they will take a mile.

    First Minnesota buck

Finally connected on my first Minnesota deer since moving out here. Hiked into some state land about a half mile back. Got my XOP setup up on a nice big oak with plenty of sign under it on the back end of an old clear cut. Within an hour this guy came out of a ravine about 90 yards to my...

    Minnesota swamp buck

Just southwest of me, I'm up by Walker. Awesome buck man! Definitely been a weird year so far. I didn't get a chance at one but I'll keep grinding away with my bow!

Advice on silencing hawk helium sticks

I've got a set of the large helium sticks. I've done a couple mods on them, added silencer strips to the backs and Amsteel daisy chains to replace the cam straps but that's it so far. My issue is that I keep getting a loud squeaking noise that seems to be coming from the versa button when I've...

    The Hunting Public TV Show

I think he's just going to tell you to 'look it up yourself' haha. I love THP, not sure how anyone can hate these guys. I learned a lot about how to better hunt my area for white tail and I'm already seeing better results than I did last year. No one is paying them except youtube, amazon and...

Moving in on another hunter working a bull

Not quite the same but we had someone shoot a rifle next to the truck last week while we were down in a hole. Heard him pull up on an ATV and then a rifle shot rang out. We think he was on his way down into the drainage we dropped into and got pissed when he saw our rig. Pretty childish thing...

if you’re headed to Idaho or Montana in September- start your prayers now

The majority of the access points in my area are still closed up in the Idaho Panhandle. Still hoping for a turnaround but it's not looking good. 2 1/2 weeks out, I think we're going to have to go to plan B.

    Fires in the west

Yea, I have family in Orofino and they tell me it's just as bad. There's already a stretch at the end of the St. Joe road that's closed off so I'm hoping that's as far as it will go in our area. Let's all hope for rain but no more lightning!

    Fires in the west

Idaho Panhandle just went to Stage II fire restrictions so I'm a little worried. Nothing to close to our area yet but I'm hoping for lots of rain before September! Potlatch and other big timber companies just put in some major restrictions on their lands as well.

    Sitka Gear Prices Increasing?

That sucks that they'll be scrapping the program after this year. I just renewed my pro deal so thankfully I've still got another year of it. I'm not a LEO but I work for my local county so I've been blessed to be able to use it through the LEO Adventures program. I've gotten and promoted a...
