Kifaru Between Shape Charge and MaDeuce

Internal frame, from the IG video, it looked a lot like the frame setup of the Kutthroat and Minikeg.

    Hpg Aston house B.C. thoughts

I picked one up a couple months ago. It'll definitely handle weight (I've been using it with 40 in the bag), though you'll want to drop extra on a belt. The belt is just held in place with a hypalon flap (strange design choice), though, it does help a lot with heavier loads. Also the delta...

    Kifaru Shape Charge stay question

The composite stays will have a much much higher specific modulus (strength and stiffness to weight ratio), and won't permanently bend without breaking (no adjustments.) The aluminum stays can be bent (you can adjust their shape), but weigh a little more, and *could* change over the course of a...

    QUESTIONS FOR KIFARU - Podcast

Any plans for bathtub and bug net shelter designs for jackasses in the East coast that don't want EEE? Any plans on converting current pack styles to X-Pac (ex woodsman), or do packs using X-Pac require separate designsas a consequence of the material properties? Example, could you make a 22/44...

    Kifaru Frame ?

Tactical, Hunter Duplex, and Duplex Lite/ultralight should be compatible. I don't know about the Bikini frame, or if there are frames I am missing.

Kifaru Shape Charge - Belt Pouches vs Sherman

Here's the rig with the Sherman Pocket and Claymore 2. Generally speaking I keep SRB's on both ends so I can unclip it from the top as well without unclipping the Sherman or messing with the other buckles, this also lets me get into the main bag directly. the bottom straps are held in place by...

Is the Kifaru 44 Mag the pack for me?

I do long weekend (Thursday through Sunday at the longest) fly fishing trips and day hiking mostly. I recently moved from a tahr/guide lid/spotting scope picked to the 44 mag and 2 large belt pouches on the back. I haven't had any issues in these circumstances, and I also use relatively modern...

    Tahr to 44 mag?

I actually just sold my tahr. The main difference in kit and setup is that I use fewer stuff sacks. Aside from that, the stackup in the bag ends up being much different (the 44 mag org pouches are at the top of the bag, while with the tahr things were much lower) for daypack setups.

Kifaru Shape Charge - Belt Pouches vs Sherman

I rotate the SC (as a work bag) with just the Sherman, the Sherman with one or two belt pouches on the outside, belt pouches, no Sherman, all of this crap with a claymore 2 as a lid, and a medium pouch on the internal webbing. Currently, the configuration is Sherman, one external BP, and two...

    Kifaru Striker

I was looking at making a poor man's fulcrum with those pockets and my Argali. Additionally, it looks like it would work well as a lid mounted sideways on a pack.

    Kifaru Striker

With the large compression pockets you could fabricate nomad wings onto it nearly doubling the capacity.

    Kifaru 44 Mag side pockets

Works pretty well. My poles fully collapsed were too big to fully zip, other than that, no complaints.

The remake of the 22 mag has two side stretch pockets.

    Best Kifaru day pack

I use that claymore/Sherman setup for my shape charge. For me, it's a tossup between that and the 44 mag for best day pack.

    Kifaru 88 Mag

I'm actually more interested in that center zip scope pocket that looks like one of the nomad wings. While an 88 mag would keep me from having to strap on every pouch I own to my 44, I think I'll wait on the 176 mag, or whatever insanity they're coming out with next.
