Hey, im curious for an update on your last years mule deer hunt in NV 141-145. You mentioned tricky access. That was my experience a last weekend when i went to scout the unit for my up-coming archery mule deer hunt.
I am looking at purchasing a Christesen Ridgeline and I am curious on how you mounted the insert for your Javelin Bipod. Is that something you had a gun smith tap into the stock or did yo do it yourself?
Awesome season and great stories! I'm curious what caliber and rifle are your 10 and 12 year olds shooting? My son is 10 and has been shooting my Ruger M77 .243. He shoots is it pretty dang good while were practicing. Yet, I wondering if a youth rifle stock is the way to go?
I'm anxious to see the Hoffman Hunter in action. They appear to be a very solid built boot.

I love my OnX app on my phone but it was difficult to see during the day because of the sun glare. I wish I would have had a good paper map. Although, you asked the question about what's the one thing that was left behind. I specifically purchased a Garmin InReach Mini for my latest back...
I agree that the moisture has definitely given some of the bucks exactly what they need to develop into something extra ordinary. Yet, what I've seen throughout the summer is a lot of good bucks that might possibly need much more than just a wet year. I strongly feel that age and genetics are...
One thing I thought I might mention, I spoke to some ranchers in July that had their cattle on top and they said they have seen a lot of black bears this year. When I spoke to them in the afternoon they said they run into a sow and two cubs while fixing fence that day. Just an FYI
I haven't hunted unit 61 but, I did scout the top of unit 62 this year in July. I like the looks of the west side of the mountain. From the country I've seen it looks like long canyons with good ridge lines to glass from. Good luck
Good morning everyone. I have cruised this site off and on for a little bit trying to soak up the good information and have now decided that it's time to contribute. I'm looking forward to having some good conversations with like minded people. Thanks
