That's a really lofty goal(s). The guy must have really deep pockets and some insane drive. I'm pretty sure my outfitter wouldn't have accepted an archery hunter. (He hasn't since 1975).
I only know my outfitter had four of the Fall hunters and he went 4 for 4 w/ me being the last hunter of his for the season.
Don't know how the others made out.
The eight hunters for the Fall season came from USA, Germany, Belarus, and Russia.
Calibers used were 6.5 PRC, 300 Win Mag (the favorite) 7mm RM, .280 Ackley, my .270 and the dude from Russia w/ the .338 Lapua!
Nepalese blue sheep riblets. Chef sent his guys for bamboo and fashioned skewers. He made a great marinade. It took a little arm twisting on my part, (the chef thought the meat would be too tough). The result, delicious!
Blackstrap "steak" and eggs. Perfect medium rare.
Thanks for the kind words. My hope was to convey the scale of the effort; and in the process memorialize the details while they were still vivid in my mind. All in all it was a very humbling experience.

Our guides "managed" the ascents very well; allowing short rest stops throughout the climbs. There were a few sketchy stretches, especially during our extended stalk. They took great care in getting us where we needed to be. I imagine the client's fitness is being assessed during the first three...
I talked about this w/ my outfitter. Given you're well above treeline, there's no cover. He said it's doable with a blind at a pinch point. it's a definite long shot as scent will also play a role.
I'm not sure you would find an outfitter willing to accept an archery client, or more to the...
I agree it's a big financial ask for the wives to tolerate!
I applied the basic North American standard to the sheep I was hoping to get (at least 10 years old). As I mentioned in the write up, the outfit takes great pride in only harvesting mature animals (since 1975). Mahesh, the owner of the...
I can't compare this hunt to the argali expeditions, but the organization, logistics and camp life in general was first rate. These guys did everything expected at an absolute top level.
A member of the Nepalese/Dhorpatan game department is present for all the hunts. Typically they stay at base camp as they tend to be older folks. Our guy was young and was with us every step of the way. He was there to record all the demographic information on the sheep and confirm legality such...
Yes. The Tahr are in neighboring hunting block 4 (among others). They tend to be at lower altitude, but more rugged country. There's an option for a combo hunt which was beyond my budget
