I've been archery hunting mule deer in Wyoming for four years now. High country (8000' - 10000' in WY) in early September.
As a midwest whitetail hunter, it's tough to get out of the first few hours/last few hours mentality. But with 7 to 10 days to hunt, it feels like a waste spending half...
If everything else was the same, would you hunt the highest elevation spots first or does it not really matter that much?
Elevation range is about 7000' to 10,500' in WY. We'll be out there 9/1 - 9/11.

Any suggestions for good podcasts on mule deer? I'm more interested in discussions on hunting/scouting tactics than hunting stories. We've got a 16 hour drive coming up and nothing better than a good podcast to get you fired up for a hunt.
