Has used the new Athlon Midas 1 mile rangefinder? Any thoughts on that vs. the Sig Sauer Kilo 1600 (or 2000 on sale), or the Vortex Ranger 1800? They look reasonably comparable per specs.
Anyone have any tips on how to get the Kuiu lids to stay up on the bag? I’ve got an Ultra 5500 on the new Pro suspension and the lid just wants to flop over onto the front of the bag. Can’t get it to stay on top with the bag less than filled to the brim.
For what it’s worth, BHA supports it. There is some good info in their article on it below:

Good question - I hadn’t heard of this but am glad to have now. Sounds like from the TPWD website that it is just permanently allocating the funding whereas currently the Legislature decides each year how much to appropriate. Not sure if the rest of the money currently goes into the general fund...
I agree that the new Pro belt is fantastic.
I did have a similar problem at one point with lower back pressure. I found the solution to be making sure the torso adjustment was long/tall enough. If the torso is too short, tension in the shoulder straps is directed mostly in the vertical plane as...
Curious to hear some more feedback from people who’ve gotten their hands on the suspensions.
Belt is a major improvement in my opinion, but I found the L/XL to fit slightly larger (~1”) than the same in Icon Pro.
Rosin, I remember you doing a review on the Ultra bags about a year ago. I’m wondering what your opinion on those is now and compared to the new Pro bags. I’m really liking the new Pro suspension, but am looking for a bag size somewhere between the 3600 and 6000. The Ultra 4000 and 5500 caught...
I’m pretty optimistic about the new suspension. I had to return my Icon Pro because the waist belt would open up away from my hips under load in the back by the lumbar pad, putting a lot of pressure on my lower back. I think it was the combination of the small but thick lumbar pad and rigid...
This is getting overlooked. What is defined as occupied land and what legitimate conservation regulations are imposed on the treaty hunting rights is still to be decided.
