    We have three seasons here in Virginia. Our second one runs from 11/19-11/27. Still a LOT of doves around here. I’ve hunted the second season a few times and really enjoy it. Just have to wear warmer clothes.

    We used hog rings before going to tape. Either works fine, tape is much faster. Make sure your tape stays at room temp or above. The colder the tape gets…the more you’ll be cussing 😎

    Like others have said….more hunters traveling west. I see less hunters on public land here in the east. The internet has created more traveling hunters than it has hunters in general.

    Meh. Back in 2011 I replaced the stock batteries in my Dodge Cummins with the Walmart type. They lasted at least five years, until I sold the truck. I use their deep cycles on my boat. The next battery I have to replace will most likely come from Walmart. Like others have said, most batteries...

    Another vote for the Ballistic Tip. 90 or 95 grain I use the 95 because I can (could) find the bullets more readily available for reloading.

    During early bow season, I use Smartwool base layers, Eddie Bauer/Wrangler pants, and “earth tone” 1/4 zip fleece tops from Marmot, North Face, Eddie Bauer, etc.....
