Compared here.
Swaro is better. But mostly in ergos. Vortex 1/2lb lighter. Center resolution very close. Agree edge to edge to swaro but not by much. Color better on swaro.
Most folks likely aren’t scanning with them. If...
I kept the vortex over the ATC. Swaro was better but not worth 3x the cost. And vortex was 1/2lb lighter. For what you are actually using it for (likely confirming some details and not extensive scanning) I think the vortex provides all that’s needed. It’s lacking in nice things like smooth zoom...
I shot mine today on a short 7wsm and it was hearing safe. Still loud but for hunting perfect given length and weight. Don’t think anything will touch it in the near term sub 6”.
Swaro eyepiece only - $560 shipped firm. Mint with original box. Never hunted with only used for comparisons. Save ~30% from new not including tax/shipping.
Pictures shortly.
Be patient….you should be able to get 10x ELs south of 1700. There was some 8.5xs for $1250 this week that were killing me. If those are still available I’m sure you’d be pleased for the price b
It was larger in NL but much smaller than expected (<10% more max).
The big thing for me in the 12x NL is they are smaller and lighter. Optically the EL is almost same. The case for NL 12x (vs 12x EL) is better IMO than the 10x (NL/EL) comparison because of this.
The 10x won’t share that...
I have never been greatly bothered. They are not as good as the 10x for that for sure. IMO 12x is the best tripod mainly with occasional handheld. 10x better all around but will give up a little at distance to the 12x.

I prefer the 12x. They do resolve a tad more (pretty sure we had some 10x in there). I personally think if your eyes are close together there is a chance of minor blackouts (small exit pupil issue).
To @TaperPin point. In that linked optics review we had a deer at 1130yds. None of the binos could describe anything about it and I doubt they would have seen it if not pointed out in the shadows. All the spotters (even the minis) could see it.
Maybe I’m just luck…cheap…or both but this lil guy on Amazon has worked great for me for three years. Goes on scopes and binos, no case, light, and silly cheap.
Spotting Scope Smartphone Camera Adapter, Telescope Camera Adapter, Cell Phone Adapter Mount for Binocular Monocular...
Couple close to $600 options in the below comparison that hung in pretty well with the big guys. You loose edge to edge, color, and some smoothness with the cheaper scopes. The center resolution in my experience isn’t too far off.

Thanks for the help gents. I “think” my solution is gonna work for a while.
I did a bit of a hybrid OEM mag fix. Took a wsm and prc apart. Swapped spring, follower, then sanded down the prc body just a tad and filed down the metal component on the end. Holds 3x rounds with bolt closed. Feed...
