Hammer Hunter on Game Performance
200 yards with 166 hammer hunter out of 300WSM. Hard quarter too, with placement in front shoulder. Bullets pushed right through front shoulder and lodged in skin on opposite side. Puffy Pants Versus
Great thread. I just bought the SKRE pants for $202. Hard to pass them up at that price. My only issue is that I will be wearing Kuiu gloves, Sitka coat, Skre Pants and First Lite base layers........I hope the elk don't care. -

Today at the range I worked on my set up for this elk season. I am shooting a Browning Hells Canyon in 300WSM with a banish 46 suppressor in the 7.8 inch configuration. My load is 166 Hammer Hunters with 66 grains of reloader 19. My groups were great (well below 1 MOA). My avg FPS was 2814…..I... -

Browning x bolt (mag issue)
Just a heads up on my 300 WSM hells canyon I could not get high BC bullets to feed. I was trying the Berger VLD hunters and the bullets would not feed. I had to polish up the feed ramps to get good reliable cycling. I did some range work today and I was shooting .5 MOA groups with 166 grain... -

Fire Wood SW Montana?
Be sure to check the burning regulations. Every time I have been to SW Montana in September there has been a “no open fire” rule in place. The wind at night is very strong and I completely understand how a small camp fire can turn into a forest fire
