    Diopter adjustment

Just curious about other people experience with diopter adjustments. Im noticing that my eyes seem to vary a little so I seem to have to change the diopter adjustment occasionally. I had suspected it but confirmed it today when I went out and was having trouble focusing, changed the diopter...

For the single bevel and two blade broadhead users.

No, the bleeders are double bevel so may affect the rotation a bit but I suspect will cause more leakage. They shoot well, at fifty metres they seemed to shoot same groups as my field points with no specific tuning of the bow. I chatted with one of the company owners at a hunting expo and they...

    Practice range is coming together

That little kid target is a little tasteless isn’t it🤣. I guess at least he’s broadside.

For the single bevel and two blade broadhead users.

I just shot some of the kayuga gen 2 pilot cuts today I’m pretty happy. They seemed to shoot pretty well. I normally hate trying to get broadheads out of my target but these ones I just ended up pushing them right through the other side.

    Experiences with iq define pro

This is the other reason I like the look of the define. It just puts the rangefinder on the bow but still keeps the pins like normal. Then you can draw, range and just move the pin up to the animal and shoot. If it died or you didn’t need to range then it’s just business as usual with the fixed...

    Experiences with iq define pro

I’ve been looking at the IQ define sights for a while and when the Seven pin version came out lighter than the original it got more attractive. I like the idea of having my fixed pins like normal but not having to range then draw as seperate movements. who owns the seven pin and how do you...

    QAD Drop away rest issues

I had a similar issue with mine. The way to test if it is adjustment or if the rest is faulty is to reset the cable length. The qad instructions tell you to set the length this way. First cock the rest as you would when loading an arrow so it is upright. The little plastic clamp that attaches to...

    Max range with fixed pins.

This is helpful thanks. I have noticed that I get consistent at a given range and then sometimes seem to deteriorate a little as Im concentrating on aiming like you said. I’ve been shooting almost solely at 60 for the last six weeks or so and noticed I was getting a little punchy. As you said I...

    Max range with fixed pins.

Awesome, thanks for those replies. I have experimented a while ago shooting my 30 pin from twenty etc and there wasn’t much in it. I might explore that option again maybe try the 25-30 yard first pin. Then I have an extra ten yards in my pins which will keep me busy practicing out to 70 for a...

    Max range with fixed pins.

I’m interested in people’s thoughts and solutions. I’m fairly new to the bow and am running a five pin spot Hogg. I’ve been practicing at 60 and wondering about options for shooting further so my questions are. 1 what sort of range do most people start to max out at for practice(I know this is a...

    Another spine check

Thanks for those offers but I need to alter my profile to show I am in Australia. The bow hunting market is just a little smaller here than in the states. Most stores only seem to carry 250 spine bare shafts in packs of twelve. This is the reason for all the questions rather than just grabbing a...

    Another spine check

So would there likely be any downsides to ordering 250 spines cut one inch shorter than my current arrows without doing a test first. It’s hard to get 250s individually here and I’m not set up to cut and make my own arrows yet. Opinions seem to be that I’m better to be overspined than under...

    Another spine check

Thanks. Not necessarily chasing the high foc thing. I think when I used gold tips calculator it said I was currently at 14%. If stiffer spines were getting heavier and you need a stiffer spine for longer arrow and heavier points I wondered how people can actually achieve these crazy high foc. I...

    Another spine check

Thanks, that was what I thought. More out of curiosity how are people able to run these really heavy points if they have long draw lengths. It seems like it would be hard to find properly spined arrows. How much difference would it make to shorten my arrow up to an inch?
