    Lightweight mid zoom scope options?

Assuming I could get the Maven for about 500 less than the Tenmile, does the Tenmile offer anything beyond that bit of extra zoom that would make it work the premium?

    Lightweight mid zoom scope options?

Just picked up a leftover X Bolt Pro in 6.5 PRC for a steal, and now I'm trying to find fairly lightweight scope for it in the $1000-1500 range. Would be used for a mix of western and MW hunting. Main priorities: Min 18x max zoom Definitely sub 30 oz, ideally under 25 Good field of view Sturdy...

Best sub $400 scope for browning x bolt in 30-06?

If you can find it on sale, the Athlon Helos BTR G2 is quite a good short-mid range scope. I’ve got a 2-12x42 one on my Grendel AR setup and have been very happy so far. Here’s a great review on it:

    Go-To Lens in hunting pack

Picked up the Tamron 70-300 Z mount over the winter and it’s looking like it will be coming everywhere with me now. It may not be perfect optically, but for the size/weight it’s hard to beat, and it’s cheap enough I don’t worry about it too much.

    Insulated boots vs uninsulated boots

I have the Timberlines which are pretty similar to the 0g Beartooths with a little more flexible sole. I would say that they are good down to low 30s active or low 40s still with the reasonably thick full cushion Darn Toughs I usually wear. From when I've been in MT that time of year it...

    Schnee's against competition

Literally just got my first pair of 200g Beartooths in today but I've had the lighter duty Timberlines for three years now and they've held up remarkably well to all manner of abuse. Can echo wait others have said about the slightly tight toe box, but if they're anything like my Timberlines...

    WY Antelope For a Newbie?

Yeah my hope is to find a solid unit to get a good shot at a doe tag this year, but which also has good size buck potential to return to in a couple years once I've built up some points. If I do end up getting a doe tag in say area 17, would I then also be able to buy a point for that area or...

    WY Antelope For a Newbie?

Thanks for the info. I'm not totally dead set on public and would definitely consider something like this if it wasn't cost prohibitive. Do you know if there is a way to find all the ranches/landowners who offer such programs?

    WY Antelope For a Newbie?

Hey Guys, To start things off I'm a complete newbie to western style hunting currently living in the Mid West who is looking at putting together a solo rifle public land antelope hunt in Wyoming this fall. I have absolutely zero expectations here involving the critter, don't care if it's a...

    Schnees Timberline Boot Care Question

Got a pair of Schnee's Timberlines recently and trying to figure out a conditioner/waterproofing treatment for them. I contacted Schnee's and they just said Nikwax but didn't specify what type. I got some of the Nikwax Suede spray stuff, but I tried it out on the tongue and I'm a bit skeptical...
