Not every year. Look at the wet years in the 80s. Talking specifically az, it was in a wet cycle. Because of that unit 4a/b had 2500 deer tags. Now it has 350.
a persons odds do not change if they have 7 points and it goes down to 5 points. I clearly stated that if you have more people than tags left they won’t give you one.
That unit has some country where there are no roads but burning boot leather is gonna be some what hard. Multiple people have said there are roads every where and I think you’re glassing over that. There are more roads in az than you think. WAY more
depends. If your point level is guranteed then it doesn’t hurt you. But since you’re asking on a 50% draw odds the only way it would hurt you is if there is one tag left and you have two people on the app. Your odds don’t drop based on number of people on app. Research how the Colorado draw...
Like mentioned above. Find a unit you can draw every couple years and that is some what close to where you live. The more you know the unit the better it will be for you. Applying for a unit half way across the state and getting to hunt it every 5 plus years makes learning the unit hard...
Unless you are going to go back for just fishing trips buy the hunting only. You can buy a year long fishing license for 55 and daily for like 20. I don't see the value for a fishing license unless you really are gonna make specific trips each year
As mentioned. You'll never be guaranteed a tag in arizona for 13a 13b 12aw late. Points right now take 18 plus with thousands of people in front of you. You can always get lucky so you have to apply. Don't just buy points.
to be clear, what they are talking about is he got a 2023 nonresident archery deer tag on december 1st when non resident archery deer tags went on sale. That allows him to hunt any OTC archery deer tag in January, august, december hunt in 2023 as long as that unit is still open. The draw...
100% i'm correct. They wouldn't give an update and give a couple days for cc to go bad. On the elk draw there was an issue running them in the morning but they did in the afternoon. So anything can happen but their plan is right away in the morning.
Are there services in Wyoming that will "guide" a non-resident hunter in wyoming so one can go into the wilderness. Looking for something similar to new mexico where you have to be with a guide for 2 days then you can hunt by yourself for the rest of the hunt. I understand in wy you have to be...
